This material with its potential for weight and cost reduction has experienced dramatic growth in the automotive sector in North America. Its high wear resistance also makes it attractive to the agricultural and construction industries. ADI Treatments is the first company to offer volume Austempering in Britain.
The furnaces currently operating in the West Midlands are the largest Austempering furnaces in Europe, with a chamber size of 900mm wide x 900mm high x 1800mm long.
Full technical support is available to foundries and component manufacturers who are contemplating the use of ADI. In order to benefit fully from the advantages of the material, it is essential that component design is matched to the correct grade of ADI, and full data on all grades are contained in a series of data sheets and other technical publications.
